On July 9th, 2021, the protocol for the concession of the Fermodel Model Railroad Club headquarters facilities was signed at the Parish Council of Carcavelos & Parede . Due to Covid-19 restrictions in place, the event was only attended by members of the Fermodel board.
Following the effort carried out by the current Fermodel Board as well as the previous coordinator (Vítor Mendes Almeida), the protocol signed will allow the use of the space by the Fermodel Model Railroad Club members where a model railroad layout is been built for the last months.
The space is located at Rua de Santa Maria Madalena 150, 2775-740 Carcavelos.
With the protocol signed, the President of the Parish Council of Carcavelos & Parede, Mr. Nuno Alves was invited to visit the headquarters of the Fermodel Model Railroad Club, and thus evaluate the work that has been developed. The visit took place on July 10 in a cheerful, relaxed and very informal environment, a brief explanation of the model railway was provided, with great contentment and satisfaction shown by Mr. Alves being evident.
On the occasion of this visit, Fermodel Board Members offered Mr. Alves, a Märklin wagon commemorating a Fermodel delegation visit to Märklin headquarters in Göppingen, Germany in 2019.
Fermodel Model Railroad Club members deserve congratulations for this achievement!
It is without a doubt an important moment for all of us. With this space and the willingness of the members, a great opportunity is created for the Fermodel Model Railroad Club to share each member know-how and skills to be applied at the railway modelling hobby.
